Fugitive Friday: Woman Who Shot at Police

The Soquel woman, whose husband was murdered earlier this year, is wanted for shooting at a Capitola police officer.

Local law enforcement agencies have come together and are asking for the public's help in locating some of the county's most wanted. Have you seen any of this week's fugitives? If so, contact your local law enforcement agency.

CAPITOLA POLICE
Amanda Sloan
AGE: 30
DESCRIPTION: 5 feet, 8 inches tall and 140 pounds with brown hair and green eyes

HOME: Soquel
WARRANT: Attempted murder on a peace officer. Sunday, a Capitola police officer stopped a BMW driven by Sloan. Sloan refused to cooperate with the officer and sped away from the traffic stop. Officers pursued Sloan until she shot a gun at the officer through the sun roof of her vehicle. Officer lost visual of the vehicle and have requested a warrant for her arrest. Sloan has history of violence against peace officers and should be considered armed and dangerous. She is the widow of Jeff Smith, the man fatally shot in Soquel in August. 

SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Beau Brown
AGE: 31
DESCRIPTION: 6 feet, 2 inches tall and 190 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes
HOME: Santa Cruz
WARRANT: Felony theft, identity theft, theft with prior convictions. He missed a court date and a $60,000 warrant was issued.

SHERIFF'S OFFICE
Douglas Murdock
AGE: 28
DESCRIPTION: 5 feet, 9 inches tall and 150 pounds with blond hair and green eyes
HOME: Watsonville
WARRANT: Drug sales and felony theft. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing drugs for sale and theft, then missed a court date.

SANTA CRUZ POLICE
Noah Nelson
AGE: 32
DESCRIPTION: 5 feet, 11 inches tall and 180 pounds with blond hair and blue eyes
HOME: Santa Cruz
WARRANT: Possession drugs for sale. He was arrested in July and failed to meet his court obligations so a warrant was issued.
