Grass Fire Reported in Industrial District

The small fire damaged a warehouse, the Register Pajaronian reported

A grass fire charred vegetation and spread to a warehouse Thursday afternoon in Watsonville, fire officials and local media reported.

The fire, reported at Walker and West Beach streets just before noon, was about 10 feet in diameter and five feet from the cement wall of a warehouse when Watsonville Fire crews got on scene, according to emergency radio traffic.

The flames damaged a warehouse, which has a Kearney Street address and is used by , the Register Pajaronian reported. Click here to see the story and photos.
