Homicide Victim Identified; Useful Evidence Collected

The man stabbed to death on Thursday was Felipe Reyes.

Watsonville Police have identified the man who was fatally stabbed on Thursday afternoon as local 20-year-old Felipe Reyes.

He was stabbed multiple times in the torso by a group of four to five men, mostly Hispanic, one possibly white, police said. They were last seen running south on Lincoln Street away from the crime scene and have not been located.

Reyes was pronounced dead at the scene after unsuccessul lifesaving efforts were made.

"Detectives are working the case and developing leads. WPD Crime Scene Investigators processed the crime scene and recovered some useful evidence," Sgt. Eric Taylor said in a press release.
