House Fire Breaks Out on Montebello Dr.

A small kitchen fire is put out quickly by local fire squads.

A small fire broke out in Watsonville at 172 Montebello Dr. on Wednesday night and according to Watsonville Fire Captain Pablo Barreto from Station 1, the incident all started from the kitchen area of the house.

Luckily, all four family members made it out safely and out of harms way before 25 members of the Aptos/La Selva, Pajaro Valley, and North County fire squads arrived roughly a little after 7 p.m.

Also according to Barreto, there was extensive smoke damage to the home and the firefighters managed to put out the blaze in 10 minutes before any real harm could have been done.
