Juvenile Arrested For Possession of Concealed Firearm

A 14-year old boy was arrested by Santa Cruz County Gang Task Force early Saturday morning on Bree Lane for possession of a semi automatic pistol.

The Santa Cruz County Gang Task Force made the streets of Watsonville a little safer after they arrested a 14-year old boy with the possession of a gun on Bree Lane just before 2 a.m. Saturday morning

The 14-year old, a Watsonville resident, was spotted by the GTF near Ohlone Parkway in a car that was driven by a 17-year old boy, according to GTF commander Mario Sulay.

Also according to commander Sulay, the two were then followed into Stone Creek Apartments and once they parked the 14-year old ran from the car. A group of GTF members chased him and ordered the boy to stop but refused to give in.

After GTF members took him into custody they found a loaded .380 caliber semi automatic pistol concealed in the pants pocket of the 14-year old, according to commander Sulay.

In addition to the firearm, investigating GTF officers found evidence that the 14 year-old was actively involved with a local criminal street gang and had previously been prosecuted back in 2011 in juvenile court for possession of a deadly weapon and assault with a deadly weapon.

Neither the 14 year-old nor the 17 year-old driver of the car were residents of the apartment complex.

The 14 year-old was booked into juvenile hall for Juvenile in Possession of Concealed Firearm, Prohibited Person (felon) in Possession of a Firearm, Gang Crime, and Resisting a Peace Officer.

I used my yes on T flier to line the birdcage. It pissed my parrot off so much, he bit me!

We got one too sweetcakes (some caring person actually tucked it into my door handle so it wouldn'tRead More blow away) even though I have a "No on T" sign in my yard. The "Yes on T" is all lies anyway so it went right into my recycle bin. Perhaps it was just coincidence but they came while we were at the City Council meeting last night. Go figure.
