Man Arrested for Sex Crime Outside Market
The Salinas resident allegedly was masturbating in the store parking lot.
A 50-year-old Salinas man was arrested for masturbating and exposing himself in front of a market on Friday afternoon, Watsonville police reported.
Crispin Manuel Ramos-Vasquez reportedly was in the parking lot of Mi Pueblo Food Center on the 1400 block Main Street just before 5 p.m. but drove off in a white Toyota Tacoma before an officer arrived, police reported.
Watsonville police detective Christopher Bailey spotted a similar vehicle driving on Main Street near Riverside Drive so he was pulled over the pickup and detained the driver, Ramos-Vasquez.

A woman who had been parked next to the man who was exposing himself identified Ramos-Vasquez as the man she had seen masturbating and exposing himself from inside his pickup, police reported.
Ramos-Vasquez was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
