Man 'Picking a Fight' Stabs Teen
A 19-year-old man was stabbed three times in the back; police said the attack doesn't appear to be gang-related.
A 19-year-old man was stabbed in on East Beach Street on Saturday night, authorities reported.
The teenager had been walking with two friends when a group of five males confronted them just before 9 p.m., Sgt. Henry Robles said.
“The victim said ‘We’re not looking for trouble,’” Robles said.

But one of the attackers pulled knife. The teenager was stabbed three times in the upper shoulders, authorities reported.
Everyone ran. Emergency responders found the stabbing victim in front of the , 215 E. Beach St., Robles said.

Police were searching for the attackers as well as the teenager’s friends.
“We’re still trying to follow up on the information we have,” Robles said around 10 p.m. “We got there pretty quick, surrounding the area and contacting males” who matched the description of the attacker: a man wearing a gray V-neck shirt and gray pants.
The teenager was taken to for treatment, Robles said.
Police aren’t sure what the motive was. Robles said the attack didn’t appear to be gang-related.
“We think it was the suspect just picking a fight,” he said.
