Man Stabbed In Fight, Airlifted to Trauma Center

The man, 45, was stabbed multiple times after an argument.

A man was stabbed following an argument in a Watsonville neighborhood Thursday evening, according to Watsonville police.

Police received a report of a disturbance in the 500 block of Berman Lane at 5:50 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a 45-year-old man with multiple stab wounds. The victim was uncooperative and would not provide suspect information, police said.

Witnesses told police that the victim and an unknown male had had an argument, which escalated into a physical altercation.

During the altercation, the victim was stabbed and the suspect
fled the scene.

Police searched the residential area for the suspect with negative results.

The victim was treated at the scene of the stabbing, and then transported to Watsonville Community Hospital with injuries not considered to be life threatening, police said.

The victim was then airlifted to a trauma center for further treatment and is in stable condition, according to police.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to contact
Watsonville police at (831) 768-3350 or anonymously at (831) 768-3544.
