Man Stabs Two People Outside of Jalisco Restaurant Monday Morning

Juan Carlos Medina-Reyes, 21, has been arrested for assault with a deadly weapon.

A 21-year-old man has been arrested for stabbing two people early Monday morning outside of on Main Street.

The suspect, Juan Carlos Medina-Reyes, 21, got into a fight with the two men, according to a Watsonville Police report. The restaurant’s security guard witnessed him stab one of the victims, and try to flee. The guard then shot Medina-Reyes with a taser and handcuffed him.

At about 1:20 a.m., police arrived, and found the two victims on the sidewalk in front of the restaurant with side wounds to their torso area. They were immediately flown to a Trauma Center in Santa Clara County.

Medina-Reyes was taken to Watsonville Community Hospital, where he is being treated for injuries to his elbow and shoulder. He will then be booked into Santa Cruz County Jail for Assault with a Deadly Weapon.
