Police Blotter: Stolen Car Found

The following arrest information was provided by the Watsonville Police Department and the Sheriff's Office. It does not indicate a conviction.

Watsonville Police Log, Sunday, Jan 8, 2012

12 p.m.—A stolen vehicle was found on the 100 block of Sudden Street. Police collected fingerprints.

5:40 p.m.—A 28-year-old man was arrested for DUI following a non-injury crash on Blackburn and East Beach streets.

7:18 p.m.—A 16-year-old girl was arrested with alcohol and for giving police a fake name in an alley behind Grove Street. She and two other people had run from a parked car when officers pulled up.

10:13 p.m.—The windshield and driver's side window were smashed on a car parked on the 100 block of White Street.

Thursday, Jan. 5

12:18 a.m.—A teen was hiding in the bushes near a closed government building at Main and Second streets. He was arrested for having an illegal butterfly knife and released to his parents.

4:18 a.m.—A would-be arsonist poured lighter fluid on two vehicles and tried to ignited a fire using paper. The arson attempt happened on the 400 block of Sherwood Court.

9:59 a.m.—Overnight, a vandal scratched a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Blanca Lane. Additional vehicle vandalisms were reported an hour later on the 500 block of Auto Center Drive and at 2 p.m. on the 100 block of Sudden Street.

5:15 p.m.—A 20-year-old man was ticketed for driving on a suspended license on South Green Valley Road and Green Meadow after the officer reportedly saw the man with an open container of alcohol in the vehicle.

Sheriff's Office Log, Saturday, Jan. 7

11 a.m.—There was a vandalism report on Los Robles Court. The damage was more than $400.

Friday, Jan. 6

7:55 p.m.—A driver was cited for having an open container of alcohol in her car on Rodriguez and Kearney streets. One passenger got a ticket for possessing marijuana and being a minor with alcohol. Another passenger was arrested and jailed for a parole violation.
