Police Blotter: Antique Rifles Stolen

Also, wanted felon tried to hide under a blanket in his bedroom when police came looking for him Friday.

Sunday, June 2
Bad Checks: A phony check was cashed at Fiesta Latina Market.

Warrant Arrest: A 23-year-old man was pulled over on the 200 block of East Lake Avenue. His driver's license was suspended and he had warrants.

Drunk in Public: In separate incidents, a 37-year-old man was arrested on the 700 block of Main Street and a 50-year-old woman was arrested on Main Street and Clifford Avenue for being intoxicated.

Saturday, June 1

Driving: A motorist was arrested on Ohlone Parkway and Harkins Slough Road for having a suspended license.

Resisting Arrest: Two teens wer picked up on the 100 block of Jefferson Street.

Drunk in Public: A 32-year-old man was arrested on the 100 block of Hollowview Lane. 

Home Burglary: Electronics and four antique rifles were stolen from a home on the 100 block of Brennan Street during the evening.

Friday, May 31

Warrant arrest: A 30-year-old man hid under a blanket in his bedroom on the 300 block of Locust Street to try to avoid being arrested for a felony warrant. It didn't work; he was arrested.

Theft: Two political signs were reported stolen on the 400 block of Stanford Street. 

Weapons: A 24-year-old man was ticketed for having an illegal knife on the 900 block of Main Street. 

Drunk in Public: A man was arrested on the 200 block of East Beach Street. 

Theft: A purse was stolen when a woman fell asleep at 236 Union St. 

Driving: A motorist was arrested on Freedom Boulevard and Stanford Street for having a suspended license; his passenger went to jail for a warrant.

Probation: A 22-year-old man was picked up for a violation on the 100 block of Sudden Street. 

Warrants: A man was arrested on the 400 block of Winchester Drive. 

Drugs: Two men in a parked car on Ford and Kearny streets were arrested for having narcotics, drug paraphernalia, illegal weapons and stolen property.
