Police Blotter: Bikes Stolen From Special Needs Kids

Also, three men were busted in a police sting targeting alcohol sales to minors.





Thieves stole nine bikes and tricycles used by special needs students at H.A. Hyde Elementary School, KSBW reported

The theft happened earlier this month. The equipment is worth about $1,500, a school official told the TV station.

Sunday, Aug. 25
Theft: A spare tire was stolen from a Toyota Tundra on Monterey Drive overnight. 

Misuse of 9-1-1: A serial 9-1-1 caller was arrested again at his West Beach Street Home. Nathan Jarvie has been busted for this violation multiple times this summer.

Drunk in Public: A woman was arrested on Freedom Boulevard around 6 p.m.

Stolen Vehicle: A vehicle stolen from Alameda County was recovered on East Beach Street around 7 p.m. One man was arrested. 

Saturday, Aug. 24
Fighting: A man was arrested for fighting and being drunk on Stanford Street around 1 a.m.

Drug Possession: A man was ticketed during a car stop on San Juan Road and Porter.

Drugs: A man was arrested for having drug paraphernalia and being high on Manana Lane. 

Friday, Aug. 23
Burglary: A commercial building on the 100 block of Airport Boulevard was broken into overnight. 

Fake Check: It was cashed at a business on the 300 block of Main Street. 

Vandalism: A work truck was spray painted on the 900 block of East Lake Avenue. 

Marijuana Possession: A 13-year-old Rolling Hills Middle School student was caught with pot on campus. 

Burglary: A home on the 500 block of McKenzie Avenue was broken into. The burglar got in by breaking a rear window and stole items. 

DUI: A man was arrested for DUI on Freedom Boulevard and Stanford Street around 6:20 p.m.

Furnishing Alcohol to a Minor: Three men were arrested for this violation in separate areas of the city on Friday evening. It was part of an undercover sting on providing alcohol to underage kids.

Weapons: A man was arrested at LuLu's Liquors for having a weapon during a pending fight around 10 p.m. 

Drug Possession: A woman was arrested for drug charges during a burglary investigation on the 2100 block of Freedom Boulevard. 

Curfew Violation: Two teens, ages 18 and 17, were contacted in a parking lot on the 1400 block of Freedom Boulevard and arrested for having alcohol.
