Police Blotter: Borrowed Car Stolen

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A man allegedly sold a car he "borrowed" from a friend and is now suspected of vehicle theft and embezzlement, Watsonville police reported.

It's an odd case. Here's what police reported: Jose Pusencio borrowed the car and didn't return it at the agreed-upon time. He tried to sell the car and left it with the keys in it, parked and unattended on a street. Someone then took the car.

The crime was reported around 11 p.m. Tuesday.
