Police Blotter: Burglars, Vandals Active

The following arrest information was provided by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Watsonville Police Log, Tuesday, Dec. 20

8:31 a.m.—A man on probation was arrested for having crystal methamphetamine on the 500 block of Lincoln Street.

5:05 p.m.—A house was burglarized on the 200 block of Riverside Drive. The theft happened during the day Tuesday.

5:38 p.m.—A car was broken into on the 500 block of East Lake Avenue Tuesday afternoon.

Monday, Dec. 19

7:18 a.m.—A 23-year-old woman was arrested for a felony warrant on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard.

9:49 a.m.—A car was burglarized in the past day. The car was parked behind a home on the 100 block of Ford Street. A second burglary was reported on the same street. In that crime, a car stereo was stolen.

12:21 p.m.—A vandal keyed a Ford pickup parked on the 100 block of Melrose Avenue.

12:50 p.m.—A 35-year-old man was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant on the 100 block of Holm Road.

3:38 p.m.—A woman reported a burglar broke into her house on the 100 block of Holm Road. She didn't notice anything stolen.

4:41 p.m.—A 28-year-old man ran from police but was caught at Grant Avenue and Marchant Street. Officers said he had methamphetamine on him and he was arrested.

7:37 p.m.—A vandal keyed a truck while it was parked in the parking lot at his home, on the 200 block of Clifford Avenue.

9:43 p.m.—Four men were caught smoking pot in a car parked on the 200 block of Silver Leaf Drive. One reportedly threw something in the glove box; officers found a baggie of narcotics in there. The man who hid it was jailed.

10:06 p.m.—Police investigated a vandalism report on the 100 block of Rodriguez Drive.

11:40 p.m.—Police ticketed a man who had a glass smoking pipe on Vista Verde Circle and Lighthouse Drive.
