Police Blotter: Busy Burglars

Two schools and a business have been burglarized this week.

Break-ins were rampant early in the week in Watsonville.

Burglars hit late Tuesday, and vandals smashed a window at early Wednesday, reported.

At Starlight, which was burglarized around 9:10 p.m., a laptop was stolen. The vandalism at H.A. Hyde happened five hours later. Nothing was reported missing there, police said.

Earlier Tuesday, five burglars used a brick to bash in the front door of a business on the 900 block of East Lake Avenue. Surveillance cameras showed them stealing clothing and shoes just after 2 a.m., police said.

But the burglary crew fled and haven't been found, according to police.

There's no indication the break-ins are related.
