Police Blotter: Calm Weekend In Watsonville

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A burglar used a brick to break the front door of a business on the 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard early Tuesday.

The burglary happened around 4:17 a.m. The burglar stole several laptops, then fled. Police said the crime was captured on video.

No further information was released.

Tuesday, May 31

1:09 a.m.—Three men stole three 30-packs of beer from a convenience store on the 400 block of Airport Road. One kicked open the front door as they fled, cracking the glass.

3:58 a.m.—A woman slammed the door on a Watsonville cop who was responding to a family disturbance on the 200 block of Ross Avenue. She also allegedly pushed him and was arrested. No one was hurt.

Monday, May 30

4:05 a.m.—A vandal smashed the rear window of a van parked on the 2100 block of Freedom Boulevard overnight. The driver's side window of a car parked on the 200 block of Anna Street was also shattered around that time.

10:02 a.m.—Walter Joseph Massera, 53, was arrested on suspicion of battery following a fight in a trailer park on Blanca Lane. A 50-year-old man was injured.

4:30 p.m.—Ramon Rodriguez Gutierrez, 51, was cited for shoplifting from Target.

7:16 p.m.—Marcelene Nicole Siedman, 27. was arrested on two warrants after she was pulled over on Walker Street at West Lake Avenue.

Sunday, May 29

2:47 a.m.—Alvaro Martinez-Villa, 28, was pulled over because he was driving his car with a flat tire on the 1500 block of Freedom Boulevard. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence.

9:19 a.m.—A thief took items from an unlocked car parked on the 100 block of Sudden Street.

5:22 p.m.—A teenage boy was arrested for violating his probation. He was picked up on the 100 block of Sixth Street and taken to Juvenile Hall.

6:54 p.m.—Someone grabbed a 45-year-old woman by the waist on the 500 block of Main Street. Police investigated the report as a battery.

7 p.m.—Amy Tyler, 26, was arrested on a warrant at 15 W. Lake Ave.

8:46 p.m.—Rogelio Mendez, 22, was jailed for being drunk in public on the 1500 block of Freedom Boulevard.
