Getting out of control. This happened right next to Starlight School. Just behind my house, and I was driving by taking my mom to Big5 when we saw the car with the rear and driver side window shattered. The two guys were kinda in shock, one of them was even standing right there in the middle of the road looking at the car in disbelief. I had to drive around him. Can you imagine if something like this happens when there are kids out on the school yard? We need laws to start making a hassle to gangbangers to be a gang banger. We need to stop them from going out to the streets acting with impunity, they do all this because they get away with it. They need to be Guilty by Association. They don't act on their own, they attack innocent people on behalf of the gang, so the whole whole gang needs to be held liable. A Megan's list like database of gang bangers available to the public. We want safe neighborhoods? Well, we should know who's our neighbors too. In the meanwhile, I started using my HD camera on my phone to record everything when I'm driving. Kinda a false sense of safety, but is better than nothing.

Hector, you are so right. Under the law now, unless you have been caught committing a crime or are already on gang probation, there is nothing stopping a person from belonging to a gang. I agree that simply belonging to a gang should be a crime, and maybe short of prison, young gangbangers should be sent to a lengthy and intensive boot camp or re-education camp program where they can be "re-programmed" out of the gang mindset. I like your idea about keeping your camera phone ready to go at all times. I do the same thing, and I am always ready to be observant and give information to the police.
