Watsonville Police Log, Thursday, July 5

5:22 p.m.—A man was arrested for warrants during a traffic stop on East Lake Avenue and Sudden Street.

10:22 p.m.—A woman was jailed for having drugs. It happened on East Beach and Carr streets.

10:47 p.m.—A man pulled over for several alleged code violations had crystal methamphetamine on him. He also was high on meth and on probation for drug charged. He was arrested.

10:50 p.m.—A teenager on probation was caught with a knife on Green Valley Road and Carnation Drive. He was detained, then released to his parents.

10:52 p.m.—A teenager was arrested for a probation violation and having vandalism tools on the 600 block of California Street.

Monday, June 2

12:49 a.m.—A 19-year-old man was arrested on a warrant and a 19-year-old woman with him was cited for obstructing police. It happened on the 600 block of Rodriguez Street.

8:37 a.m.—Copper piping was removed from a home on the 100 block of Packard Lane. It was worth more than $900. The theft happened in the past five days.

8:43 a.m.—Overnight, a vandal damaged a car parked on the 100 block of Eaton Avenue.

11:28 a.m.—A 41-year-old man was arrested for a parole violation on the 200 block of Montecito Avenue.

12:09 p.m.—A man was arrested because he had drug paraphernalia, a violation of his probation. It happened on the 100 block of East Beach Street.

1:38 p.m.—A burglar stole a desk through an open window at a house on the 100 block of Coolidge Avenue.

3:53 p.m.—A thief used a stolen credit card to make purchases throughout the city.

4:09 p.m.—A man was cited for a warrant on the 400 block of Rodriguez Street.

7:57 p.m.—A 23-year-old man visiting someone at Watsonville Community Hospital was arrested for a warrant.

Sunday, July 1

1:48 a.m.—A wanted parolee ran from police and jumped several fences on the 300 block of Carey Avenue. He dropped a large knife during the chase, but was eventually arrested.

4:11 p.m.—An 18-year-old woman was arrested on the 500 block of Main Street for a warrant out of Monterey County. He was turned over to Monterey County sheriff's deputies to be jailed.

5:38 p.m.—A woman was ticketed for having more than 60 grams of marijuana on the 400 block of Rodriguez Street.

6:04 p.m.—A man broke into his parents' house, stole their TV and pawned it. His parents got the television back and reported the theft to police.

7:56 p.m.—A 33-year-old woman was arrested for a felony warrant on the 400 block of Rodriguez Street.

8:28 p.m.—A thief stole a medical device from a man's bedroom several months ago.

9:25 p.m.—A 28-year-old woman was ticketed for a warrant on Kearney and Walker streets.

9:09 p.m.—A man was caught siphoning gas from a truck on Hangar Way. He ran off when a witness called 9-1-1 but left his vehicle behind. It was seized as evidence.

11:36 a.m.—A 31-year-old man was ticketed for a warrant on the 100 block of East Lake Avenue.

Saturday, June 30

1:15 a.m.—A man who was carrying a concealed, loaded gun forgot it in a car after getting a ride. Police are looking for the man who left the gun behind.

8:56 a.m.—A vandal threw a beer bottle into a car show, damaging a vehicle. It happened on the 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard.

12:38 p.m.—A man was cited for shoplifting goods worth $39.98 from Kmart.

2:32 p.m.—A 65-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public on the 400 block of Rodriguez Street.

3 p.m.—A woman was arrested for shoplifting from Kmart.

10:49 p.m.—A woman was arrested for being drunk in public on Main Street at Central Avenue.

11:01 p.m.—A 19-year-old woman was arrested for DUI at the scene of a car crash on the 100 block of Marin Street.

Friday, June 29

A 36-year-old man was arrested for having a small amount of heroin. It happened at Motel 6 on Silver Leaf Drive.

10:01 a.m.—A 17-year-old boy was arrested for vandalism on the 200 block of Brewington Avenue.

6:07 p.m.—A burglar broke into a house on the 100 block of Carey Avenue.

7:12 p.m.—A 20-year-old man was arrested for a warrant on the 1800 block of Freedom Boulevard.

8:08 p.m.—A man out of jail on his own recognizance was arrested for violating the terms of his release. It happened on the 300 block of Clifford Avenue.

Thursday, June 28

1:36 a.m.—A 22-year-old woman was arrested for DUI. She had been driving with a flat tire, which prompted police to stop her on the 1400 block of Main Street.

7:05 p.m.—A 21-year-old woman was arrested for buying alcohol for a minor. He was caught during a decoy sting on the 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard.

9:01 p.m.—An 18-year-old woman was arrested for a probation violation on the 100 block of Ross Avenue.

Wednesday, June 27

12:13 a.m.—A woman who was a passenger in a car that was pulled over on the 900 block of Main Street was jailed for a warrant.

5:50 p.m.—A 19-year-old man was arrested for violating his probation by hanging out with another gang member on the 1300 block of Main Street. A 16-year-old boy with him was also arrested for having an illegal switchblade knife. The boy was released to his mom; the man went to jail.
