Police Blotter: Domestic Violence, Concealed Daggers

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Gibran Mendoza, 20, was arrested around 6:20 a.m. on Sunday morning for sexual battery and false imprisonment, Watsonville Police reported.

Mendoza had tried to prevent the mother of his child from leaving the house by restraining her, accordign to authorities. Mendoza had grabbed the victim's arm and released her after a couple of minutes.

The victim reported bruises and said she had pain in her upper torso. Mendoza is currently in jail.

2:38 a.m.—John Eric Hurtado, 39,  was cited and released for being in possession of a controlled substance and for possession of paraphernalia at 206 Prospect Street.

1:43 a.m.—Oscar Velasco Gamboa, 20, was arrested for carrying a concealed dagger and obstructing a police officer on Freedom Boulevard.

Sunday, Aug. 28:

10:06 p.m.—Abel Perez Rosales, 26, was arrested for violating an order preventing domestic violence at Palm Beach.

9:33 p.m.—Jose Dejesu Vargas, 24, was cited and released for disorderly conduct at 1954 Freedom Boulevard.

9:49 a.m.—Jose Manuel Meza, 34, was arrested for providing false ID to a police officer, participating in street gang activity, carrying a loaded firearm in a public place, violating probation.

 8:01 a.m.—Mark Stephen Leyva, 34, was arrested for disregarding safety and evading a police officer at 250 Zurich.

4:20 a.m.—Eduardo Cruz Garcia,19, was arrested for damaging a wireless device and participating in gang activity around the area of White and Riverside Streets.

3:33 a.m.—Maribel Macedo, 27, was cited and released for driving under the influence at Ohlone Parkway.

3:06 a.m.—Dennis Mathew Arias, 19, was cited and released for carrying a concealed dagger at 571 Rodriguez Street.

2:34 a.m.—Shovonne Nicole Clanahan, 24, was cited and released for obstructing a public officer at 28 Marchant.

Saturday, Aug. 27:

11:36 p.m.—Keith Allen Cross was cited and released for driving under the influence at Highway 1 at Vitsa Point.

9:56 p.m.—Luis Morgada Martinez was cited and released for disorderly conduct with alcohol at 307 Palm Ave.

8:30 a.m.—Wendy Martinez was cited and released for disorderly conduct at 414 Jefferson Street.

6:15 a.m.—Roman Victor Sanchez was cited and released for disorderly conduct at 100 Hollow View Lane.

5:51 a.m.—Alberto Luis Torrez was cited and released for disorderly conduct at 100 Hollow View Lane.

5:25 a.m.—Margaret Lynn Trost was cited and released for disorderly conduct on 5th Avenue.

2:37 a.m.—Martinez Anthony was arrested for driving under the influence and for disregarding safety around Second and Menker Streets.

2:19 a.m.—Jose Augustine Lopez was arrested for obstructing a police officer, being under the influence of a controlled substance and for violating his parole at 658 Green Valley Road.

2:08 a.m.—Adrian Alderete was cited and released on suspicion of committing more than 400 dollars worth of vandalism on the 100 block of Pacific Avenue.

1:04 a.m.—Juan Diego Reyna was arrested and released for driving under the influence on the 1400 block of Freedom Boulevard.
