Watsonville Police Log, Tuesday, July 10

2:26 a.m.—A 31-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public on the 200 block of  Silver Leaf Drive.

Monday, July 9

7:40 a.m.—An intoxicated man was arrested in front of Mintie White Elementary School on Palm Avenue.

8:49 a.m.—A vandal damaged a car on the 200 block of Shasta Street.

9:51 a.m.—A car burglar shattered the front window of a car on the 100 block of Grove Street.

3:42 p.m.—A vandal broke the front window of a closed business on the 500 block of Ohlone Parkway.

6:08 p.m.—A thief stole a purse from a shopping car at a store on the 1400 block of Freedom Boulevard.

6:40 p.m.—A 56-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public at Atri Park. He was trying to start a fight with a 70-year-old man.

6:59 p.m.—A thief stole a backpack from a dressing room at a store on the 400 block of Main Street, then ran ran from the shop.

9:37 p.m.—An aggressive panhandler with a bike lock cable wrapped around his fist was approaching women on the 1400 block of Main Street. A man intervened and the panhandler walked away and into oncoming traffic. He was arrested for being drunk in public.
