Police Blotter: Drunk Man Assaulted in Garage

Officers aren't really clear on what happened during the early-morning altercation.

A 39-year-old man was bludgeoned in the head during an altercation in the garage of a home on Tharp Avenue early Tuesday, Watsonville police reported.

The man, who was drunk, didn't tell officers much about how he ended up with a large cut on his head. Police said his family members and evidence found indicates the man was assaulted in the garage.

He was taken to the hospital for treatment. Detectives ask that anyone with information this case call the Crime Tip line at 728-3544 or the Investigation Bureau at 768-3352.
