12:13 a.m.—A suspected drunken driver went off a bridge on Highway 129 at Pajaro Road, just east of the Santa Cruz County line, and about 50 feet down into the river. The driver wasn't hurt.

12:58 a.m.—A 28-year-old man was ticketed for sleeping in a car on the 100 block of East Front Street.

1:19 a.m.—A 41-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public on Knollwood and Peppertree lanes.

Wednesday, May 9

3:01 p.m.—A thief stole a FedEx package off a front porch on the 400 block of Vivienne Drive. The theft may have happened in April.

5:54 p.m.—A 59-year-old man was found sleeping near the intersection of Main Street and South Green Valley Road. He was arrested for being drunk in public.

6:41 p.m.—A 52-year-old man was ticketed for shoplifting from Kmart.

Tuesday, May 8

12:21 a.m.—A 48-year-old man ran from officers and dropped drug paraphernalia. He was detained on the 1600 block of West Beach Street and arrested.

5:33 p.m.—A man was arrested for being drunk in public on the 100 block of Lee Road.

5:37 p.m.—A man was ticketed for driving on a suspended license on Second and Rodriguez streets.

10:53 p.m.—A teenager was arrested for a probation violation on Rodriguez Way at Rodriguez Street. He was released to his mother.

Sheriff's Office Log, Wednesday, May 9

No time given—A woman allegedly high on stimulants was arrested on the 2100 block of Freedom Boulevard after deputies were called to a disturbance.
