Police Blotter: Gang Members Carjack Teen

Also, a woman was groped and the PE office at a school was ransacked.

Two young men were arrested following a gang-motivated carjacking in Watsonville early Saturday, police reported.

The men—Alejandro Martinez Florez, 20, and Anthony Hernandez, 19—allegedly carjacked a 19-year-old man, police reported.

They were arrested on the 600 block of Lincoln Street around 12:18 a.m. Saturday on suspicion of carjacking, gang participation, battery and minor in possession of alcohol, according to police.

Sunday, Oct. 21

12:08 p.m.—A man was arreste dfor DUI and driving on a suspended license on the 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard.

1:31 a.m.—A man was arrested for violating a restraining order, public intoxication and a probation violation on Blackburn Street and Wildcatz Way.

4:53 a.m.—A man was arrested for being drunk in public on the 100 block of Hope Drive.

8:35 a.m.—A car was vandalized on the 100 block of Villa Street overnight.

2:57 p.m.—A man was ticketed for a warrant on the 100 block of East Beach Street.

6:29 p.m.—Burglars broke into the boys' PE office at E.A. Hall Middle School and ransacked the room. A teacher on campus saw three boys fleeing the area.

8 p.m.—A 15-year-old girl contacted during a strong-arm robbery investigation was ticketed for misappropriating lost property.

Saturday, Oct. 20

8:55 a.m.—A man was arrested for a warrant on Freedom Boulevard and Crestview Court.

9:49 a.m.—Overnight a thief stole the stereo face plate from a car parked on Lincoln Street and Stanford Avenue.

1:12 p.m.—A man was arrested for a warrant and ticketed for marijuana possession on Airport and Freedom boulevards.

8:06 p.m.—A 21-year-old woman was groped on the 1200 block of Main Street.

11:20 p.m.—A 47-year-old man was arrested for brandishing a knife on the 1100 block of South Green Valley Road.

Friday, Oct. 19

5:40 p.m.—A man was arrested for a probation violation on Brennan Street and Palm Avenue.

7:50 p.m.—A 21-year-old man was arrested for slashing tired on a vehicle on Ester Way.

8:38 p.m.—A man was arrested for fleeing the scene of a traffic collision. When he was found, he was drunk and arrested for DUI and hit and run.

11:29 p.m.—A woman was arrested for a warrant.
