Around 5:25 p.m. Friday, officers pulled over Alex Souza, 26, on the 100 block of Altamont Drive. Souza allegedly had a loaded revolver and 16.4 grams of methamphetamine on him, police said.

Police took the gun and drugs, but cited and released Souza on suspicion of transporting and selling drugs, possessing drugs while armed with a loaded gun, possessing a concealed gun while in a vehicle and carrying a concealed gun. Souza is confined to a wheelchair and needs daily care, so officers didn't take him to jail, police reported.
