Watsonville Police Log, Tuesday, May 29

9:27 a.m.—Burglars broke into a house through an unsecured back door, ransacked the house and stole items. It happened on the 100 block of Paseo Drive.

10:41 a.m.—A parked car was vandalized overnight on the 100 block of Dolores Avenue.

11:27 a.m.—Someone stole food items from a shop on the 400 block of Union Street.

11:29 a.m.—A 44-year-old man reported someone stole his identity to get a job out of state.

6 p.m.—A thief used two checks from a woman's closed checking account to buy items at Safeway. The account had been closed for four years.

8:29 p.m.—Medics responded to an emergency on the 600 block of Palm Avenue. The 64-year-old man was drunk and he was arrested.

9:56 p.m.—A 20-year-old man was ticketed for two warrants on Rodriguez Street and West Lake Avenue.
