Police Blotter: Ice Cream Vendor Robbed

Also, a student was caught selling marijuana.

An armed man robbed a female ice cream vendor at knife point, the Sheriff's Office reported.

The man got out of a vehicle, walked up to the woman and held a knife to her stomach, deputies reported. He demanded money and valuables; she gave him $5 and a broken cell phone, according to the Sheriff's Office.

It happened around 4:50 p.m. on Roberta Drive, which is behind the Sheriff's Office sub-station on Green Valley Road.

No time given—A student at SOS was caught with packaged marijuana. The student admitted to deputies that he planned to sell the pot. He was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale and taken to County Jail. The continuation high school housed at the Cabrillo College campus in Watsonville.

5:30 a.m.—A car was stolen from the mobile home park parking lot on the 500 block of Green Valley Road overnight.

Tuesday, June 12

3:20 p.m.—A woman was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant on the 1600 block of West Beach Street.

7:35 p.m.—A teenager was caught shoplifting on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard. He was also on probation.

Monday, June 11

12:34 a.m.—A 20-year-old woman was arrested for DUI on the 1800 block of Freedom Boulevard.

9:31 a.m.—Officers responded to a 9-1-1 hangup and arrested a man for an outstanding warrant on the 100 block of Westwind Court.

10:24 a.m.—A man caught violating his probation on the 100 bock of Blanca Lane. Police are getting a warrant.

4:53 p.m.—ID theft was reported on the 100 block of Peace Drive. Someone used a woman's identity to get a credit report online.

9:35 p.m.—A 50-year-old woman was arrested for trespassing and a probation violation on the 900 block of Main Street.

9:50 p.m.—A teenager was arrested of concealing a large knife. The weapon was discovered when police stopped a car for playing music too loud on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard.
