Sheriff's Office Log, Tuesday, Sept. 4

12:28 a.m.—A man was stopped for a vehicle code violation on Freedom Boulevard and Bowker Road. He was arrested after deputies determined he was high on drugs and had methamphetamine with him.

11:45 a.m.—A man was arrested on a warrant on Hecker Pass Road.

4 a.m.—A thief stole about $2,200 worth of equipment from a maintenance yard on West Riverside Drive.

5:47 p.m.—A man had to climb in the window of his car and shut off the engine to prevent another man, who was drunk, from driving off with his vehicle. The drunk man was arrested after a brief struggle. It happened at an apartment on Mar Vista Drive.

9 p.m.—A tea cart was stolen from the front porch of a home on Laken Drive.

10 p.m.—A vandal scratched the paint on a pickup parked on Dutchman Road, causing more than $400 damage.

11:55 p.m.—A woman was ticketed for having an open container of alcohol in under the driver's seat of her vehicle. She was pulled over for a moving violation on Green Valley Road.

Friday, Aug. 31

10:39 a.m.—A man was arrested on a warrant during a traffic stop on Main and East Beach streets.

Thursday, Aug. 30

12 p.m.—Jewelry worth $13,500 was stolen from a home on Willet Circle.

5:15 p.m.—A man reported his Webb Road house was burglarized while he was on vacation. Stolen were an ATV, golf clubs and china dinnerware. The burglar got in through a bedroom window.

Watsonville Police, Tuesday, Sept. 4

1:13 a.m.—A woman was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant on East Beach and Alexander streets.

8:50 a.m.—A woman reported that her ex-husband violated a restraining order by following her home.

10:29 a.m.—A vandal damaged a car that had been parked on the 1400 block of Main Street for two weeks.

1:20 p.m.—Two sets of truck tire rims were taken from a yard on the 100 block of West Lake Avenue during the weekend.

9:06 p.m.—Two men stole beer from a store on the 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard.
