Police Blotter: Man Punched, Woman's Purse Stolen

The following arrest information was provided by the Watsonville Police Department and the Sheriff's Office. It does not indicate a conviction.

Two gang members drove up to a couple Sunday afternoon, punched the man and stole the woman's purse, Watsonville police reported.

The robbery happened on the 100 block of Silver Leaf Drive around 5 p.m. Before throwing the punch and purse-snatching, the robbers asked the man where he was from, which is why police suspect they are gang members.

The robbers weren't caught. They would face charges of battery, robbery and gang participation.
