Police Blotter: Man Robbed, Shoes Stolen

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Robbers attacked a 58-year-old man on Sunday evening, punching him and kicking him, then stealing his shoes, Watsonville police reported.

The attack happened around 6:48 p.m. on Loughead Street.  The man was treated at Watsonville Community Hospital, according to police.

9:21 a.m.—A vandal keyed a car on the 100 block of Gardner Avenue.

9:25 a.m.—Police are going to get a warrant after seeing a man whose drivers license is suspended drive away from a domestic disturbance on the 200 block of Ford Street.

11:15 a.m.—Burglars pried open a door to a business on the 300 block of East Lake Avenue and stole items. The theft happened overnight.

11:45 a.m.—A thief stole the pink slip to a woman's vehicle and her birth certificate from her shopping bag. The bag was left unsecured in the parking lot of the Salvation Army on the 200 block of Union Street while she was having dinner.

8:25 p.m.—Police cited Michael Manning, 18, for a warrant on the 100 block of Sudden Street.

11:32 p.m.—Juan Ricardo Valadez was arrested for drunk in public on the 100 block of Marchant Street.

11:38 p.m.—Alejandro Vasquez, 36, was arrested for a warrant on the 800 block of Vista Montana Drive and taken to jail.

Saturday, July 16

10:10 a.m.—A minor was arrested for a probation violation on the 300 block of Rodriguez Street.

1:24 p.m.—A car burglar smashed windows on two vehicles on the 100 block of Sudden Street, stealing an iPod and a bag of clothing.

3:09 p.m.—Jennie Roberts, 39, was arrested at Kmart on suspicion of shoplifting. She also allegedly had methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia with her, and was taken to jail.

4:54 p.m.—A woman tried to use a counterfeit $100 bill at a business on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard.

6:47 p.m.—Jose Vasquez was detained on the 400 block of Airport Boulevard at the request of Monterey County sheriff's deputies. He allegedly beat up his girlfriend, then stole her car.

 

8:25 p.m.—Magdaleno Rodriguez-Badillo, 25, was arrested for public intoxication on the 400 block of Winchester Drive. Thirty minutes later, John Boyanton, 60, was arrested on the same charge on the 2000 block of Freedom Boulevard. But Boyanton got rowdy—he threatened to physically hurt and possibly kill WPD officers—so he was jailed on suspicion of obstructing an officer also.

Friday, July 15

7:02 a.m.—A teenager was arrested for vandalism after a resident allegedly saw him vandalizing city property on the 1400 block of Freedom Boulevard and called police.

9:27 a.m.—Ernesto Dominguez Luciano, 56, was arrested for being drunk in public on Riverside Drive at White Street. Then, around 11:20 a.m., police arrested Daniel Romero, 46, for the same crime on the 100 block of Main Street.

12:44 p.m.—Leslie Resetar Thomas, 41, was arrested at her Crestview Court home for a warrant.

2:23 p.m.—Edgar Ayala was pulled over on Green Valley Road and High Grade Lane, then arrested for a warrant.

4:01 p.m.—Albert Salvador Contreraz, 19, was cited for a warrant.

4:55 p.m.—Jose Luis Montejano Fernandez was arrested on suspicion of having methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe, and violating his probation. He was picked up on the 600 block of Lincoln Street.

5:49 p.m.—Burglars got into the community room at building at 135 Landis Avenue and stole items.

6:48 p.m.—Carlos Romo was walking on the 1700 block of West Beach Street to get to his car when someone hit him in the face. He suffered serious facial injuries.

7:52 p.m.—Three teens were arrested on Anna Street and William Avenue for allegedly violating their probation. They were turned over to their parents.

8:58 p.m.—Cruz Eduardo Garcia, 19, was caught with two 12-ounce cans of beer on the 100 block Green Valley Road. He got a ticket.

9:46 p.m.—Christopher Boykin, 27 was arrested for violating a restraining order. He got a ticket

11:14 pm.—A 17-year-old boy was arrested for the second time Friday evening for allegedly violating his probation. This time, he went to Juvenile Hall.
