Police Blotter: Possible Gunshots on East Lake Avenue
Officers searched the area late Thursday and sent out a Nixle alert to keep people away from the area.
Watsonville residents who use the Nixle alert system got a notification late Thursday to avoid the 300 block of East Lake Avenue.
Officers were investigating a report of gunshots heard in the area. Witnesses said they thought a man involved ran into a nearby house, Watsonville police Sgt. Saul Gonzalez said.
That man was found and detained for questioning. Gonzalez said it wasn't immediately clear if that man was a suspect, victim or uninvolved in the incident.

No injuries were reported. The area reopened about an hour later, according to police.

6:43 p.m.—A man was arrested for a parole violation when he was pulled over on Lincoln Street and Palm Avenue.
9:35 p.m.—A wanted man for resisting arrest was arrested on Compton Terrace and Richardson Avenue.
