Police Blotter: Robbers Take Beer, Cash

Also, police were investigating an assault case involving two brothers.

Two males and a female held up an East Lake Avenue shop Monday evening, Watsonville police reported.

The trio went into the unnamed store, on the 700 block of the street, just before 6 p.m. One of the males pretended to pay for beer they had selected from the cooler, then demanded money from the 19-year-old female cashier, police said.

He simulated having a weapon in his pocket, police reported, though no weapon was seen.

The three got away with cash and the beer, according to police. The cashier was not harmed.
