Police Blotter: School Burglarized, Teens Arrested

Also, a motorist suspected of being high on drugs was Tazed when he tried to run from police.

Three teenagers were arrested with stolen property after a school was burglarized early Monday, Watsonville police reported.

The break-in happened around 4 a.m. at Mintie White Elementary School on Palm Avenue. The cafeteria and a portable classroom were burglarized, police reported.

The teens, who were not identified, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and receiving stolen property, according to police.

Forgery: A thief forged a signature to cash a stolen check. The crime was reported at 3:26 p.m. on the 600 block of Tuttle Avenue. No arrest was made.

Petty theft: A woman was arrested for stealing a flat iron from Sally's Beauty Salon on the 1400 block of Main Street at 3:28 p.m. She was also drunk and violating her probation.

Warrant arrest: A man was arrested for several warrants on the 100 block of Sacrament at 4:17 p.m.

Vandalism: A vandal threw rocks at a parked car behind a home on the 100 block of Airport Road. The driver's side window was smashed and there were several small dents on the car. The damage was discovered at 7:05 p.m.

DUI: A 26-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving while on drugs. It happened at 9:50 p.m. on Walker and Ford streets.

DUI: An intoxicated driver ran from police when he was pulled over on the 1000 block of South Green Valley Road. An officer shocked him with a Tazer to make him stop. The man was originally stopped for a vehicle code violation around 10:45 p.m. He was arrested on suspicion of DUI, fleeing police, a probation violation and driving without a license.
