Police Blotter: Shots Fired at Arthur Road Home

The following arrest information was provided by the Watsonville Police Department and the Sheriff's Office. It does not indicate a conviction.

A gunman fired a single shot at an Arthur Road house Wednesday evening while two people were home, but no injuries were reported, according to Watsonville police.

The shooting was reported at 7:35 p.m. on the 100 block of the street. That's a neighborhood of single-family homes off Freedom Boulevard, behind the Alta Vista Shopping Center, police reported.

Police said they don't have a motive for the shooting. They ask anyone with information about the violence to call the Investigations Bureau at 768-3350 or the Crime Tip Line at 768-3544.

Watsonville Police Log, Tuesday, Feb. 14

7:33 a.m.—A 17-year-old was arrested for vandalism and battery after a family fight on the 400 block of Holohan Road. He threw a cell phone at his 15-year-old sister, hitting her in the stomach, and damaged a wall. No prosecution is requested, police noted.

9:30 a.m.—A vandal scratched all the doors and the hood of his 2006 GMC Yukon while it was parked on the 300 block of Clifford Avenue.

10:50 a.m.—A business on the 300 block of East Lake Avenue was burglarized overnight.

1:59 p.m.—A thief stole items from an unlocked vehicle on the 1900 block of Main Street.

4:56 p.m.—A 19-year-old man shoplifted roses from Nob Hill on the 1900 block of Main Street. Police have his license plate number and a survellience tape of the theft.

5:27 p.m.—A burglar smashed a window on a home on the 700 block of Brewington Avenue while no one was home, ransacked bedrooms and a storage area in the backyard. Several items were stolen.

8:47 p.m.—A vandal keyed a 2004 Cadillac CTS when it was parked in front of a home on the 700 block of Palm Avenue. The damage happened overnight.

11:17 p.m.—A 57-year-old man was arrested for battery on the 700 block of Bronte Avenue. It was his birthday.

Sheriff's Office Log, Tuesday, Feb. 14

A man was arrested for a warrant on the 100 block of Delany Avenue after deputies were called to investigate a suspicious person.
