Police Blotter: Shots Fired at Car

No one was hurt in the Sunday evening shooting.

A gunman sprayed bullets at a car stopped at the intersection of Carey and Landis avenues on Sunday evening, Watsonville police reported.

The car that was shot at had at least two people in it, including an 18-year-old man, but no one was hurt, police said.

The gunman fled before police arrived. Few other details were released about the shooting.

2:01 a.m.—Police investigated a hit and run report on Holm Road west of Herman Avenue and discovered the vehicle involved had been stolen two months ago. The driver fled on foot and left the vehicle behind.

Sunday, May 15

11:13 a.m.—A thief broke into a car and stole a stereo on the 100 block of Alvarado Street.

4:19 p.m.—Police investigated a car theft on the 100 block of Arthur Road.

7:55 p.m.—Jonathan Padilla Leyva, 18, was arrested for an out-of-county warrant on the 100 block of Kingfisher Drive.
