Police Blotter: Shots Fired at House

The following arrest information was provided by the Watsonville Police Department and the Sheriff's Office. It does not indicate a conviction.

Someone fired about three gunshots at a house on West Front Street late Saturday, Watsonville police reported.

Two men in their 20s were home at the time, but no one was hurt. No arrests were made, according to police.

The shooting happened around 8:23 p.m.

Watsonville Police Log, Monday, Jan. 30

12:11 a.m.—A woman got a ticket with a court date for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant on the 1000 block of South Green Valley Road.

Sunday, Jan. 29

11:36 a.m.—Someone used a fake $50 bill at Supermax on the 900 block of East Lake Avenue.

5:18 p.m.—A 29-year-old man got a ticket for having a methamphetamine pipe on the 100 block of Walker Street.

Saturday, Jan. 28

12:08 a.m.—A 28-year-old man was arrested for DUI on the 100 block of Crestview Drive. He was pulled over for driving without headlights on at night.

2:44 a.m.—A 20-year-old man was arrested for DUI on Lassen Way at Clifford Avenue.

3:08 p.m.—A 28-year-old man who was the passenger in a car that had been pulled over bailed out of the backseat of the vehicle when the car was stopped at Riverside Drive and Main Street. Police chased him down. He was arrested for resisting arrest and on several felony and misdemeanor warrants.

9 p.m.—A 32-year-old man was arrested for being high on drugs and having drug paraphernalia after he tried to turn himself in for warrants that didn't exist. The arrest happened on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard.

9:48 p.m.—Burglars broke into a home on the 700 block of Rodriguez Street and stole jewelry, a laptop computer and money.

Friday, Jan. 27

4:43 p.m.—A 39-year-old man left his broken-down vehicle with another man in December. When he went back to get the vehicle in mid-January, it was gone. The man he had left it with had tried to register the vehicle in his name and refused to return it. Officers are investigated the case as embezzlement. It occurred on the 100 block of Seneca Court.

7:53 p.m.—A 27-year-old man got a ticket for shoplifting from Kmart on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard.

7:51 p.m—A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest on the 600 block of Orchard Street.

9:18 p.m.—A 26-year-old man was stopped for having expired tags on Harkins Slough Road and Bayview Drive, then ticketed for driving while his license was suspended.

9:37 p.m.—A 20-year-old woman was jailed for DUI after being stopped on Main Street at Clifford Avenue.

9:49 p.m.—A 19-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public on Lawrence Avenue and Kralj Drive.

11:47 p.m.—A home on the 400 block of East Beach Street was burglarized.

Sheriff's Office Log, Sunday, Jan. 29

A wanted parolee and a woman were spotted at the Quick Stop on East Lake Avenue. They sped off when a deputy tried to pull over the car. The chase hit 50 mph on Amesti Road, but the parolee turned onto Haley Lane, which is a dead-end and they were stopped. The woman was allowed to go but the parolee, who had been driving, was arrested.

1:24 a.m.—A man was arrested for driving while his license was suspended, having drug paraphernalia and drugs on Green Valley and Dick Phelps roads.

10:28 p.m.—A woman was pulled over for a vehicle code violation on San Andreas Road and admitted she was high on cocaine. A California Highway Patrol officer arrested her for DUI.

Saturday, Jan. 28

12:29 a.m.—A man and woman were arrested on Riverside and Harvest drives during a DUI investigation. The charges included possessing drug paraphernalia, DUI, violating a domestic violence restraining order and having a concealed switchblade knife.

10:31 p.m.—A man was searched as part of his probation terms and caught with drug paraphernalia. on the 100 block of Azevedo Lane in Freedom. He also was high on drugs, deputies reported. He was taken to County Jail.

Friday, Jan. 27

8 a.m.—A mailbox on the 200 block of Patricia Lane was pried open. Several incidents of mail theft have been reported in rural Aptos, La Selva Beach and Watsonville.
