Police Blotter: Stab Wound Victim, Drug Possessions and DUIs

Sunday, June 19

1:41 a.m.— An 18-year-old man walked into the Watsonville ER . He was uncooperative in revealing details.

Saturday, June 18

12:08 a.m.— Carlos Lopez Zepeda, 30, was arrested for resisting/obstructing/delaying a WPD officer, being drunk in public, and having a parolee violation.

2:17 a.m.— Jose Maria Verdia Rodriguez, 29, was found by police sleeping in his car with the motor running, while parked at the El Pollero drive thru at the 100 block of Main Street. Rodriguez admitted to drinking and driving, and was arrested for the violation.

4:17 a.m.— An unknown suspect broke four church windows on the 200 block of Stanford Street.

6:15 p.m.— A 16-year old gang member was arrested for the second time in a month for tagging gang graffiti on Sixth Street and Rodriguez Street.

7:14 a.m.— Police did a probation search of the residence of Fernando Carranza, 23, on the 100 Block of Riverside Drive and found him in possession of methamphetimine. Carranza was arrested and booked into the county jail for listed charges.

6:35 p.m.— Rudy Salas, 29, was found in possession of a Hyperdermic needle, heroin, and Methodone pills on the 100 Block of W. Beach Street. He was booked in Santa Cruz County Jail.
