Police Blotter: Teen Girls Steal Booze

Watsonville Police Log, Tuesday, July 31

8:31 a.m.—A man was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant on the 100 block of Silver Leaf Drive and taken to jail.

9:17 a.m.—A vandal broke the driver's side view mirror on a car parked on the 100 block of Gardner Avenue.

2:21 p.m.—A car was broken into on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard.

3:07 p.m.—A 31-year-old woman cashed a fake payroll check at Fiesta Latina market on July 10. The business learned of the fraud a week later.

3:25 p.m.—A 42-year-old man causing a disturbance on the 1400 block of Main Street was arrested for a probation violation.

4:12 p.m.—A thief used credit card information stolen from a Watsonville resident to make an online purchase.

5:03 p.m.—A laptop was stolen during a party last weekend at a home on the 100 block of California Avenue.

6:25 p.m.—A vandal broke a door window on a vehicle parked on the 100 block of Main Street.

7:44 p.m.—Two teenage girls shoplifted alcohol from Safeway on Freedom Boulevard. Witnesses saw it happen, and one girl was caught and arrested.
