Police Blotter: Teens Busted for Car Theft
The following arrest information was provided by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.
Three teenagers allegedly stole a BMW on Friday night when its owner left the car running while he popped into Blockbuster Video to return a movie, Watsonville police reported.
The teens, a 14-year-old and two 16-year-olds, sped off in the car around 7:47 p.m., police said.
Later that night, Officer Trevor Ihlen spotted the car near Green Valley Road and Carey Avenue. Cops stopped the car and arrested the boys on suspicion of possessing a stolen vehicle. They were taken to Juvenile Hall.

2:30 a.m.—A 24-year-old woman was arrested on West Riverside Drive and Walker Street for a warrant.

7:06 a.m.—A burglar smashed the window of a business on the 1000 block of Main Street with a rock and stole items.
9:03 a.m.—A vandal damaged a vehicle on the 100 block of Airport Road and stole work tools from an unlocked tool box.
3:34 p.m.—A 53-year-old man got a ticket for petty theft on the 400 block of Main Street.
5 p.m.—A 30-year-old man was arrested for punching his sister in the face during an argument and smashing out a window on her car. He was also violating his probation. The violence happened on the 300 block of Pennsylvania Drive.
6:08 p.m.—A 34-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public and having marijuana on the 500 block of Main Street.
7:53 p.m.—A 19-year-old woman got a ticket for having drug paraphernalia on the 300 block of South Green Valley Road.
8:16 p.m.—Police investigated a drug case on the 100 block of West Lake Avenue.
11:54 p.m.—A 22-year-old man was arrested for having drugs and drug paraphernalia on the Pajaro River levee, at Walker and West Front streets.
Friday, Jan. 20
2:14 a.m.—A 33-year-old man was arrested for DUI on Lee Road at West Riverside Drive. His passenger, a 26-year-old woman, was jailed for being drunk in public.
6:14 p.m.—A house on the 500 block of South Green Valley Road was burglarized.
