Police Blotter: Theft, Speeding and DUIs

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday

7 p.m. An unknown suspect broke the window of the victim’s vehicle and took an iPad and Nintendo DS on the 600 block of Mail Street.

4:51 p.m. Police arrested Urano Colimote Rincon, 32, on an outstanding warrant on the 900 block of East Lake Ave.

Saturday

9:27 p.m. Carlos Gomez was arrested for public intoxication at the Metro Station of the 400 block of Rodriguez Street. He was transported to the Santa Cruz County Jail for booking.

8:47 p.m. Police contacted Joshua Gilcrist, 34, in public on the 1900 block of Freedom Blvd. He is a known parolee and was in possession of an illegal weapon and burglary tools. He was arrested and booked into county jail. 

4:04 p.m. Luis Rodriguez, 28,  and Jaime Muratalla, 35, were arrested for arms robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime. They were transported to Santa Cruz County Jail for booking.

11:48 a.m. Juan De La Rosa was arrested for shoplifting at Home Depot on the 300 block of S Green Road. He was arrested and transported to County Jail.

3:38 a.m. Jose Jimenez and Juan Torress were intoxicated and causing a peace disturbance on Blackburn Street and E. Beach Street. Jimenez was found in possession of concentrated cannabis. Torres was under the influence of a controlled substance. 

Friday

9:30 p.m. Unknown suspects stole construction tools from the rear bed of the vehicle on the 700 block of Palm Ave.

7:45 p.m. Hector Jimenez was taken into custody for a DUI on Main Street and Riverside Drive. He was also found to have a misdemeanor warrant for driving unlicensed.

10:50 a.m. A pick-up and detain was issued for Elsa Roybal, 51, for a warrant out of Monterey County on the 1500 block of Freedom Blvd. Royball was arrested out of her place of employment and transported to County Jail.

8:21 a.m. A pick-up and detain was issued for a juvenile who violated his probation terms at the 400 block of 2nd Street. He was arrested at his residence, and transported to juvenile hall. 

6:17 a.m. A male victim suffered a laceration to the head on the 100 block of Hold Street. The victim did not known when or how he received the injury and the case was closed due to a lack of leads. 

12:02 a.m. Ismael Ortiz was pulled over for driving 40 miles per hour in a posted 25 mile per hour zone on E Lake Ave and Blackburn St. He was arrested for a DUI.
