Watsonville Police Log, Sunday, April 22

2:27 a.m.—A 26-year-old man was arrested for drug and DUI charges after being pulled over for not having his headlights on. The incident happened on Freedom Boulevard and Davis Avenue.

11:19 a.m.—A thief stole an empty baby stroller from a backyard on the 100 block of Elm Street.

1:59 p.m.—A 20-year-old man was arrested on the 300 block of Rodriguez Street for violating the gang terms of his probation.

5:30 p.m.—A teenager was arrested after trying to flee officers. He got a ticket and was released to relatives.

10:09 p.m.—A 44-year-old man was arrested for having nunchucks. It happened on the 100 block of Del Rio Court.

Saturday, April 21

1:22 a.m.—A 27-year-old man was arrested on a warrant on the 400 block of Rodriguez Street.

5:46 a.m.—A man was arrested for being drunk in public on the 600 block of Rodriguez Street.

9:35 a.m.—A man was pulled over for DUI after a passerby saw him toss a beer can out of his car while driving and called 911. He was arrested on the 100 block of Main Street.

9:30 a.m.—Someone used a 41-year-old Watsonville man's identity to start a T-Mobile account.

9:20 p.m.—A 33-year-old man was pulled over for a vehicle code violation and arrested for DUI on Main Street and Freedom Boulevard.

10:17 p.m.—An 18-year-old man was arrested when police were called to the Veterans Hall to investigate gang activity. He was with another gang member, which is a violation of his probation, and tried to run from the cops.

11:30 p.m.—A man was arrested on the 300 block of Clifford Street for violating his probation.

Friday, April 20

7:57 a.m.—The rear window of a truck was smashed on the 400 block of West Beach Street and someone rummaged around in the vehicle, but nothing was taken. It happened overnight.

9:36 a.m.—A 24-year-old man was arrested for burglary after he broke into a home on the 300 block of Arthur Road.

11:19 a.m.—A 43-year-old man was arrested for being drunk in public. He caused a disturbance on the 100 block of Main Street.

2:36 p.m.—A 33-year-old man shoplifted $60 worth of merchandise from Rite Aid, on the 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard. He got a ticket.

7:34 p.m.—A man was arrested for having methamphetamine. He was pulled over on the 600 block of Main Street.

9:03 p.m.—There was a disturbance on the 100 block of Ginos Court involving vandalism and a restraining order violation.

10:34 p.m.—A 20-year-old man was pulled over for a vehicle code violation and cited for alcohol possession on the 600 block of Main Street.

Thursday, April 19

12:20 a.m.—A man violated a restraining order by trying to get into a house on the 100 block of Altamont Drive.

10:09 a.m.—A 30-year-old man was ticketed for warrants at Riverside Drive and Union Street. Later Thursday, he was arrested in the City Plaza for possessing methamphetamine.

1:35 p.m.—A 17-year-old Pajaro Valley High student was arrested for selling marijuana at school. He was taken to Juvenile Hall.

6:45 p.m.—A 19-year-old man was arrested for having a switchblade. Three underage teens with him were arrested for a variety of other crimes. It happened on the 100 block of Sudden Street.

10:39 p.m.—A man was ticketed for an outstanding warrant on Lincoln Street at East Lake Avenue.

11:32 p.m.—A man and a teenage girl were arrested on the 1000 block of South Green Valley Road. He was on probation for a drug crime and reportedly had drug paraphernalia with him. Police didn't say what the girl was jailed for.
