Police Blotter: Vandalism and Shoplifting

The following arrest information was supplied by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Sunday, Jan. 6

11:20 p.m. An unknown suspect used brown spray paint to write LPWP2Y2SO on the side wall of a portable classroom on the 200 block of Brewington Ave. No witnesses were located or suspect description obtained.

6:45 p.m. An unidentified suspect stole items from an unlocked vehicle on the 1400 block of Main Street.

5:14 p.m. Virginia Monroy, 23, was arrested on the intersection of Marin Street and Freedom Blvd for being under the influence of a controlled substance and for a parole violation.

3:33 p.m. Antonio Avila-Campos, 45, was arrested for shoplifting from Kmart on the 1700 block of Freedom Blvd. He was cited and released from the Watsonville Police Department.

10:16 a.m. An unknown suspect used an unknown item to pry the window frame, causing the window to break, and removed items from the vehicle. 

3:14 a.m. Jesse Ramirez was taken into custody for a parole violation at the 400 Block of Beck St. 

3:02 a.m. Robert Gonzales was arrested for outstanding warrants at the corner of E. Beach Street and Merchant Street.
