Police Blotter: Vehicle Break-ins, Theft

Monday's police reports appear pretty tame.

Watsonville Police Department, Monday, Dec. 21

5:38 a.m.—The side windows of car parked on the 1000 block of Freedom Boulevard were smashed using a large rock and an empty 40-ounce beer bottle. 

8:33 a.m.—A locked car on the 700 block of Vista Montana Drive was broken into and items were stolen.

10:34 a.m.—Rocio Camberos, 28, was arrested on the 100 block of East Beach Street on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs.

11:25 a.m.—A teenager was arrested after his neighbor came home, saw him walking out of her garage and noticed property had been taken. Two other people drove away and were not caught. Police reportedly found some stolen items at the teen's house, and he was arrested on suspicion of burglary.

4:07 p.m.—Two women and an underage teenager allegedly shoplifted from Kmart. All three were cited for petty theft at the store, on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard, and released.

7:32 p.m.—Billy Armi, 32, was arrested on an outstanding DUI warrant and for resisting police. Officers found him hiding in an upstairs bedroom closet at a home on the 100 block of Melwood Street. He was jailed.

7:46 p.m.—A stereo and GPS were stolen from a locked vehicle parked on the 300 block of Westridge Drive.

8:46 p.m.—Alberto Pascual Santiago, 21, was booked into County Jail on suspicion of DUI and driving without a license, then released. He had been arrested on the 200 block of Clifford Street.

9:05 p.m.—Officers contacted Elias Jaime in front of 25 Holly Dr. and ran a records check on him. He had two for domestic violence and petty theft, and was arrested.

9:44 p.m.—Antonio Alvarado, 25, was cited and released for an outstanding drug warrant near Rodriguez and Second streets.

11:26 p.m.—Victor Hugo Valladares, 37, was arrested on the 100 block of Westridge Drive because he allegedly was under the influence of drugs and also had drugs with him. He was booked into county jail.

Sheriff's Office, Monday, Dec. 21

5:48 p.m.—Salvador Lopez Ortiz, 38, was walking on the 600 block of Green Valley Road when he was arrested for on suspicion of being drunk in public. He was booked into jail and released.
