12:52 a.m.—Three teenagers were cited for trespassing after they were discovered inside a vacant home on the 100 block of Orange Blossom Way. Lorenzo Dorantes and Rafael Rocha, both 19, and Jesus Magana, 18, got tickets.

6:31 a.m.—A man's car was vandalized overnight on the 600 block of Palm Avenue. Twenty minutes later, police got a report of a smashed driver's window on a vehicle parked on the 700 block of Vista Montana Drive.

12:11 p.m.—Canvas truck bed covers were taken from a pickup parked on the 100 block of Atkinson Lane, scratching the vehicle's paint job.

12:14 p.m.—Daniel Victor Gonzalez, 50, was arrested on a warrant. Police came into contact with him while investigating a disturbance on the 100 block of Second Street.

8:16 p.m.—Jose Guadalupe Mejia allegedly stole a woman's cellphone, then forced her against her will from her job. He was booked into jail on suspicion of robbery and kidnapping.

Monday, July 4

12:17 a.m.—Aflredo Guiterrez, 26, crashed his car on East Lake and Palm avenues, and was arrested on suspicion of DUI. He reportedly collided with a fireworks stand, the Santa Cruz Sentinel reported.

7:05 p.m.—Manuel Murrillo, 40, was riding his bike on Main and Rodriguez streets when he was stopped for a violation. Police found 16 Valium pills on him, which he didn't have a prescription for. He was taken to jail.

7:31 p.m.—Someone opened a T-Mobile wireless account using a 19-year-old woman's Social Security number.

7:43 p.m.—Cruz Eduardo Garcia was arrested on a warrant on the 100 block of Front Street.

8:53 p.m.—Miguel Flores Tovar was arrested on the 100 block of East Beach Street for allegedly having drugs.

10:22 p.m.—A burglar stole jewelry from a home on the 100 block of Herman Avenue. The thief got in through a rear bedroom window.

10:49 p.m.—A car was keyed on the 300 block of Jefferson Street.

Sunday, July 3

3:23 a.m.—A home on the 200 block of Pacifica Boulevard was burglarized.

5:41 p.m.—Daniel Richard Garica was stopped for a traffic violation on Green Valley Road and Loma Prieta Avenue. He had two warrants and was taken to jail.

6:13 p.m.—Albert Moreno, 18, was pulled over on Clifford Avenue and Hammer Drive for having no brake lights. He was on probation and police found 10 "general narcotic" pills on him, so he was arrested for drug possession.

Saturday, July 2

2:15 a.m.—Filimon Valdez, 75, was arrested on Loma Prieta Avenue and Green Valley Road for a warrant.

8:38 a.m.—A thief ciphoned gas from a car parked on the 800 block of Lake Village Drive, damaging the door to the gas tank.

9:32 a.m.—A burglar smashed the driver's door window of a TOP USA business van to break in and steal the stereo. The van was parked on the 100 block of West Beach Street.

11:33 a.m.—Francisco Huezo, 29, was arrested for being drunk in public. He was outside his Rogge Street home.

3:46 p.m.—Martha Marie Cornett, 43, was cited for shoplifting after she allegedly stole $137.27 worth of merchandise from Target. She also was driving while her license was suspended, police said.

7 p.m.—Gustavo Ochoa, 22, was arrested on East Lake and Eaton avenues for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.

7:15 p.m.—Isidro Quintana, 52, was booked into jail on a warrant. He was picked up on East Lake and Manor avenues.

7:31 p.m.—Three teenage boys had a half-gram of cocaine, five beers and 16.4 grams of marijuana on the 200 block of Riverside Drive. All three were jailed.

Friday, July 1

12:27 a.m.—Jose Fuentes was cited for a warrant on East Lake Avenue and Lincoln Street.

1:20 a.m.—Renato Jimenez, 40, went to jail for being drunk in public on Madison and Martinelli streets. He also violated his probation, police said.

1:55 a.m.–A thief shattered a glass door and stole beer from a store on the 100 block of East Lake Avenue.

9:28 a.m.—Kmart store security detained Felicia Renea Barsi, 24, after she allegedly hid merchandise in her purse and tried to leave the store.

10:02 a.m.—Jose Fuentes Barriga, 24, was sleeping inside an unlocked car on the 400 block of East Lake Avenue. Police arrested him for public intoxication.

12:38 p.m.—Three men kidnapped a 77-year-old man on the 1000 block of South Green Valley Road. Threatening him with a weapon, they forced him into a vehicle and drove him outside of town. The trio stole the man's money and left him in a rural area. No arrests were made.

2 p.m.—Alfred Ramirez, 50, was making a scene in the City Plaza. Police arrested him fro being drunk in public.

3:19 p.m.—A burglar smashed a window on a car parked on the 200 block of East Beach Street and stole a GPS unit.

4:46 p.m.—A thief grabbed meat from Azteca Market and ran out of the Freedom Boulevard store without paying for it.
