Police Blotter: Woman Arrested for Hitting Cop

Also, a woman suspected of selling meth was taken to jail and a man brandished a knife in fast food restaurant.

A 25-year-old woman reportedly hit a police officer during a disturbance in front of a downtown restaurant early Saturday, Watsonville police reported.

The woman allegedly hit the officer with a closed fist and was arrested on suspicion of battering a peace officer and resisting arrest, according to police. Officers were handling a call at El Alteño, a restaurant and bar on the 300 block of Main Street.

The woman was also arrested on suspicion of being drunk in public, police reported.

Sunday, June 3

12:59 a.m.—A 20-year-old man was ticketed for having alcohol and vandalism tools when he was pulled over on Davis Avenue and Freedom Boulevard.

8:54 a.m.—A vandal punctured a tire on a woman's car on the 200 block of Pacifica Boulevard. Police have suspect information.

4:34 p.m.—A woman bounced a check trying to pay for a hydrocodone prescription. After being asked to pay with a different method, she simply walked out of the pharmacy with 20 pills. It happened on the 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard.

4:37 p.m.—Police investigated a burglary on the 300 block of East Lake Avenue.

11:49 p.m.—A 30-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication on the 100 block of Montabello Court.

Saturday, June 2

There were car break-ins reported Saturday morning on the 100 block of Union Street, the 100 block of Elm Street and the 100 block of Loughead Street.

12:06 a.m.—A man was arrested for being drunk in public on the 700 block of Rodriguez Street.

1:17 a.m.—A 26-year-old man was arrested for having a syringe of heroin. It happened on the 700 block of Vista Montana Drive.

7:13 a.m.—A man picked a fight with people waiting for food at McDonalds and brandished a knife at another person before fleeing in a car. No one was hurt and no arrests were made.

9:09 a.m.—A car was vandalized on the 100 block of Manana Lane.

9:35 a.m.—A bike was stolen from the back porch of a home on the 100 block of Grant Avenue. It wasn't locked up.

8:45 p.m.—A man on probation was caught with a sawed-off shotgun, drugs and alcohol.

9:56 p.m.—A woman was arrested on suspicion she had methamphetamine she intended to see. She and the man with her were also jailed for warrants. They were pulled over for a traffic violation on Marchant Street and Maple Avenue.

Friday, June 1

12:22 p.m.—A 43-year-old woman returned a phone she had stolen from the AT&T store on Main Street to avoid being prosecuted for theft.

12:54 p.m.—A 26-year-old man was arrested on a warrant when he was pulled over on Main and Ford streets.

3:31 p.m.—Officers handled a burglary report on the 100 block of Hill Avenue. A roommate said the other housemate stole items. Warrants were requested for both of them.

5:49 p.m.—A 26-year-old man and another man were parked in front of a house on the 100 block of Palm Avenue. Officers are getting a warrant for the 26-year-old because he had ammunition, a violation of his probation.

7:28 p.m.—A bike was stolen from a locked, enclosed yard on the 200 block of East Lake Avenue.

8:56 p.m.—A house was vandalized with a rock or a pellet gun on the 100 block of Marchant Street.

11:37 p.m.—A 19-year-old woman was arrested for a warrant on Rodriguez and West Fifth streets.
