Police Blotter: Woman, Two Men Suspected in Gunpoint Robbery

The following arrest information was provided by the Watsonville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Three robbers held up two men at gunpoint on Thursday; four days later the victims reported the armed robbery, according to Watsonville police.

The robbers—two men and a woman—accosted the victims on Brewington Avenue and Paloma Way around 6 p.m. on Oct. 13. One of the male robbers held a gun to the neck of one victim while demanding personal property, police reported.

No arrests have been made and police didn't say why it took the victims so long to come forward.

Watsonville Police Log, Tuesday, Oct. 18

10 a.m.—A 59-year-old man who overdosed on opiates was revived by medics Tuesday. Watsonville Fire and American Medical Response came to help Alvin Cruseturner on the 100 block of West Beach Street. He reportedly had a syringe and a glass smoking pipe, so police requested a warrant for his arrest.

2:22 p.m.—A person reported identity theft. The stolen ID was used to get a job with the city of Watsonville in the past five years.

2:32 p.m.—A car was burglarized on the 1900 block of Freedom Boulevard. The theft happened sometime after Sept. 17.

4:34 p.m.—Efrain Ramirez was arrested during a domestic disturbance on the 100 block of Sunnyhills Drive. Police said he had 1.2 grams of methamphetamine and a smoking pipe with him.

5:55 p.m.—Simmy Elarco was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill several of his relatives. He was picked up on the 100 block of Pelican Drive.

10:38 p.m.—Police made an arrest in connection with a robbery investigation. The suspect was arrested on the 1000 block of South Green Valley Road.

11:1 p.m.—A vandal shattered a car window on the 100 block of Coolidge Avenue.

Monday, Oct. 17

7:34 a.m.—A vandal keyed a car on the 200 block of Anna Street. The damage happened overnight. 

9:20 a.m.—A car was burglarized on Creek Drive at Tuttle Avenue. The theft happened in the early-morning hours.

8:39 a.m.—Aurelio Anaya, 34, was arrested for allegedly threatening his wife. Police picked him up on the 200 block of Pennsylvania Drive.

3:59 p.m.—Miguel Lopez was arrested for being drunk in public on the 100 block of Roache Road.

6:15 p.m.—A stolen ATM/debit card was used to make purchases online.

7:15 p.m.—Jose Campos was arrested for allegedly stealing a car stereo, but escaped from the back of a patrol car. Police caught him again. He was arrested for petty theft, resisting arrest and escaping.
