Police Log: Robberies, Gang Graffiti

Also, two men intentionally rammed their cars into one another.

Wednesday, Sept. 11
Robbery: Four people robbed and beat up a teenager on the 1400 block of Main Street around 3:15 p.m. Two were arrested and booked into Juvenile Hall. Police didn't say if this was related to robberies reported Tuesday.

Gang Participation: Two teenagers were arrested for violating their probation by hanging out with other gang members on Buena Vista and Memorial Avenue. One also had an illegal switchblade knife with him. Both were taken to Juvenile Hall.

Tuesday, Sept. 10
Vandalism: A car window was smashed overnight. The vehicle was parked on the 700 block of McKenzie Avenue. 

Theft: Someone stole cash from a deposit envelope at a business on the 200 block of Green Valley Road. 

Assault: Two men driving separate cars intentionally rammed into one another on Blackburn Street and Riverside Drive just before 6 p.m. The men were ages 19 and 23. 

Vandalism: A vehicle was keyed while it was parked in a lot on the 300 block of Pennsylvania Drive overnight. 

Robberies: A man said he was assaulted and robbed by several people on Walker and Ford streets in the afternoon. Two other robberies were reported Tuesday: one on the 1100 block of Main Street around 10:45 p.m. and another on the 200 block of Riverside Drive earlier in the evening. Police released few details about the crimes.

Drunk in Public: An intoxicated man banged his head on the front window of the police station and said he wanted to go to jail. He went.

Monday, Sept. 9
Vandalism: A retaining wall and parking lot at Green Valley Professional Park on Penny Lane were vandalized during the weekend. Some of the graffiti was gang-related. Similar graffiti also was discovered in front of the Freedom Children's Center and Migrant Head Start, which is nearby on Holly Drive. 

Trespassing: A man broke into an occupied vehicle parked near the Days Inn on West Beach Street. He also had two warrants.

Shoplifting: A woman stole from a business on the 1700 block of Freedom Boulevard. 

Stolen Property: A man was caught with a stolen wallet when he was stopped on the 200 block of Palm Avenue for a bike violation around 11 p.m.
