Power Outage Hits 2,400 in Aptos Hills Area, Restored Four Hours Later

Spokesman says power was restored to all customers by 9:15 a.m.

An outage knocked out power to more than Pacific Gas & Electric customers in the Aptos Hills-Larkin Valley area Wednesday morning, a PG&E spokesman said.

The problem, first reported at 5:07 a.m., was first reported as a downed wire in the area of Freedom Boulevard and Shadowmere Way. It was later determined that there was no downed wire but simply could have been due to the foggy conditions in the area, PG&E spokesman Jason King said.

A PG&E crew was on the scene to repair the lines quickly, King said.
