Shooter Fires Into Home Occupied with Mother and Kids

Watsonville police are trying to find suspect.

Police are trying to locate a suspect who shot into the bedroom of a Watsonville home late Sunday night where a mother and her two children were sleeping, police said this morning.

Officers got a report just before 11 p.m. Sunday of a single shot fired into a home in the 600 block of Lincoln Street, according to police.

The bullet entered the home through a bedroom window and into a wall.

A woman and her two young children who were lying down on beds in the room when the shot was fired were uninjured, police said.

The shooter fled the area without being seen and remains at large.
