Suspects Crash Car into Tree When Fleeing Prunedale Burglary

Police are still looking for suspect Cameron Bush, believed to be armed and dangerous.

Two robbery suspects crashed into a tree when fleeing a burglary Sunday.

On Sunday at 9:30 p.m., Monterey Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of Kirby Park in Prunedale to the report of an in-progress burglary.

The victim witnessed the suspects, believed to be Cameron Bush and Jasmine Thomas-Ruble, burglarize their vehicle, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office.

The victim chased the suspects, who fled in a vehicle belonging to Thomas-Ruble. The vehicle crashed into a tree on Campagna Way near Elkhorn Road.

Thomas-Ruble was arrested after Bush fled from the scene, leaving her behind. Bush is wanted on warrants out of San Benito County for kidnapping and assault, and is considered to be armed and dangerous.

Thomas was booked into Monterey County Jail for conspiracy and burglary charges.
