Frankly, there's a lot of bad news that comes out of Watsonville. Too often we have to report about dead teenagers, fatal accidents and government shortcomings.
And the conduct of users on Watsonville Patch is far from ideal. But that's an issue for a different article.
It's great to be able to highlight something positive in the community, in this case the Watsonville Police Activities League, a youth crime prevention program that uses sports, educational, and other recreational activities to form a bond among police, community leaders, kids and their parents.
The Watsonville PAL put together the slideshow above and posted it on its website. We're sharing it here to spread a few good vibes around the community.
It's not all about stabbings and racism folks.
